Plantation Pines RV Resort

The beach: About 4.5 miles.  You can get to the beach by going left or right out of our driveway, and turn south.  When your car or truck starts sloshing around in the water, and dolhins are bouncing on the windshield you have gone to far.

The supermarket: About 4 miles.  Going towards the beach...take a right out of the park, then a left into City of Long Beach.  When you get to a "Y" in the road, goto the left to get to Winn Dixie, and a right to get to the Walgrreens, and a Choice supermarket. 

Restaurants:  Long Beach is not exactly the culinary institute's top pick, especially after the storm.  There are some decent lunch stops on Beatline road, but for better fare as of July 2006, head to Route 49 in Gulfport, 10 minutes East of the park.  Go north 49 for regular franchise fare.  Go south for more of the same, with a decent Chinese buffet on the right, about 300 yards from the Verizon store, right past the ....Walmart.

Dragway:  A new place for fast cars, only 4 miles from the park...take a right out of the park, then take a left on Canal, go about 1.5 miles, and turn right...you will see the sign as you approach the road.

Car track: Get back on I-10, and go 10 minutes west. 

Waterpark:  Great fun for the kids...take I-10 east to the Gulfport exit, going north.  After you loop around, it is to the north of the interstate.

Home Depot: Take I-10 east to Gulfport exit, go south, can't miss it.
